Yes. Signing up is completely free. You can create an account, explore Smartix Studio and start building passes without any upfront cost.
Q. Do you provide pass templates?
Yes. We provide professionally designed templates for every pass type including membership, loyalty, stamp and gift cards. You simply customise them with your own branding and content.
Q. Can we add our own branding?
Absolutely. You control your logo, colours, imagery and wording. Your passes look and feel like your brand while running on Smartix technology.
Q. When do we start paying?
Creating passes is free. We charge a small fee only when a pass is actively used. That means you don’t pay for passes that are issued but never scanned or redeemed.
Q. How do customers sign up for loyalty or stamp cards?
We provide a unique QR sign-up code that you can print and display in-store or online. Customers scan it and their wallet pass is created automatically — no forms, no apps required.
Q. How do we scan and interact with passes?
You use the Smartix Scan mobile app. Simply point the device at the customer’s pass and the correct action screen appears — add stamps, redeem points, validate entry or manage the customer.
Q. Is there an audit trail for scans?
Yes. Smartix provides a full audit history of every scan, including user ID and GPS coordinates. This gives you strong visibility and helps with fraud detection and accountability.
Q. How do staff log into the Scan app?
Staff can log in using username and password, Apple, Google or LinkedIn credentials. You can also use NFC tags for fast and secure staff access.
Q. Can staff share devices safely?
Yes. Just like logging into a till with a staff tag, you can use NFC tags with Smartix Scan. This allows shared devices while maintaining a clear user audit trail for every scan.
