Smartix pricing is determined by the number of active passes you require.
We offer two flexible pricing models:
Fixed price plans – ideal for small organisations or occasional higher usage, suitable for up to 2,500 active passes.
Monthly usage plan, - the most cost-effective option for larger volumes or sustained usage.

Since our FREE tier offers upto 50 active passes, this perfectly meets their needs without any cost to them.
Alternatives from payment providers typically charge 2-4% of the face value which would be £10-20 for 25 £20 cards.
A small theatre company issuing 70 tickets per show across a 14-day run. That’s 1250 tickets per production - perfectly covered by our £30/month plan with 1000 active passes. The cost? Just 3p per ticket per month.
Assuming they sell tickets a month in advance and remove them after the show, and the entire production costs only £60 in total - just 6p per ticket.

Our standard monthly usage plan is our best value plan and allows you to pay in arrears rather than upfront. You also pay for what you use rather than buying an allowance. Our montly usage plan includes full API access.

By default, all plans use our Apple and Google signing certificates. This means you share a connection with other clients using the same certificate. Excessive pass updates can result in throttling, particularly by Apple. We have fair use policies and usage limits in place to ensure Smartix is used in a way that does not impact other users.
It may be that you use case requires higher rates of updates or notifications. Smartix can cater for this by using your Apple and Google certificates instead of our own. You would need to register a developer account with Apple and Google and generate your own certificates. Once you configure those in Smartix the daily limits will no longer apply, but the fair use policy will still apply.
If you are using Smartix certificates then there is a limit of 1 notification OR 1 update per pass per 24 hours. There is also a limit of 1 template synchronisation per 24 hours. If you are using your own certificates then the Fair Use Policy applies.
