Active Passes

Your bills will be based on the number of maximum Active Passes that you have during each month.

An active pass is any [LIVE] pass that you issue. A pass is considered to be active until the time it is deleted from the Smartix system - whether automatically or manually.

Some passes have an obvious expiry date, such as event tickets. Whereas other passes such as loyalty cards do not.

If you give a pass an expiry date then it will be automartically deleted a pre-determined time after the expiry date. (You set this when you create your template). You can also delete these manually at any time. If a pass does not have an expiry date then it will never be deleted automatically by Smartix.

Consider a concert ticket. This has an obvious expiry after the event. However, that is not necessarily the time you woudl want to engage with your customer using their ticket wallet pass. You may wish to send follow-up notifications asking for feedback or inviting your customer to purchasse tickets for a similar future event.

Typically your exiting customers are likely to make a future purchase. Keeping a direct and clear line of communication open is a solid way to drive additional purchases.

Once a pass has been deleted from Smartix, you will no longer be able to update or notifiy that pass. Apple users will no longer be able to install the pass. Google users, can still use the install link.

Passes are not deleted from devices. That is not possible.
