Deleting Passes
Here we will describe how to delete passes within Studio. You can, of course, also use the API to delete your passes.
Deleting passes is an important part of the process for managing your passes. Since the amount you pay is determined by the number of active passes it is important that you remove passes that are no longer required.
Having said that, it is also important not to delete passes too quickly… For exmaple, an event ticket is still a valuable way to engage with your customer after the event has taken place…

What happens when you delete a pass?
Section titled “What happens when you delete a pass?”When you delete a pass, it is removed from the Smartix System and will no longer count towards your number of active passes. This means that you can no longer update the pass or send notifications to the pass. It does not mean that the pass is deleted from your customers’ devices. That is not possible.
Automatic deletion
Section titled “Automatic deletion”Passes can largely be thought of in two groups: Those where you have set an expiry date (eg. an event ticket could be expired following the event) and those that do not have an expiry date (eg. loyalty cards).
Those passes with an expiry date will be automatically deleted from Smartix system a fixed period after the expiry date. You can configure what this period is in the Template Editor.
You can also manually delete these passes at any time.
Manual deletion
Section titled “Manual deletion”From the passes list, select the passes that you wish to delete and click the [DELETE SELECTED PASSES] button.
